New date announced: Saturday 7th August 2021
If 2020 was the year of restrictions could the Summer of ’21 be one long party?
This August make sure you’re in our crowd of 6000+ celebrating freedom, friendship and family as we put the previous 18 months behind us and revel in the company of loved ones. Sound optimistic? Well there’s very little point in being anything else!
In February Boris set out his roadmap back to normality which led to us moving the festival from 19th June to seven Saturdays later. If everything goes to plan we’re on for a memorable party on the hill on Saturday 7th August.
In the green and pleasant land of Woodhead Park Hipperholme we’re preparing for our biggest and brightest Brodstock. Outstanding local musicians, across two stages, plus roaming performers, bars, street food, stalls, loads of activities to keep the kids entertained…. all whilst hopefully hitting our fundraising target of £30,000 for great causes.
Brodstock is completely not-for-profit, run by volunteers, with all money raised going to local causes and community grassroots sport. In fact well over 100 volunteers put on our last event and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank them all for helping the event surpass £100,000 for Overgate and Yorkshire Air Ambulance since we began. That message of thanks includes all the musicians who put themselves forward to play for no fee.
We’d also like to big-up our sponsors and event partners whose support is so vital in taking the festival forward. They include the good eggs and community-minded folk at:
ABS. A Better Way. Caravan Guard, Expect Distribution, JLA Ltd, Farnell Land Rover, Leo Group Ltd, Reloc8, Yorkshire Payments
Brighouse Central Music Academy, Halifax Courier, The Hipperholme Private Day Nursery, MuSic 4 MS, Overgate Hospice, Timple
We’d particularly like to mention Associated Waste Management and John Brooksbank who has been our headline sponsor now for the last five festivals.
Last but certainly not least; thank you to everyone else that’s got behind us, enthused about the day, and told friends we’re worth giving up their Saturday for.
Remember, for now; stay safe, follow the guidance, do the right thing and let’s get through this!
